I was appointed to the Las Lomitas school board in 2021; in 2022 I began a four-year term that will end in December 2026.

 

I've been part of the Las Lomitas Elementary School District community since 2010, when my daughter began kindergarten. My board roles have included President and Clerk, as well as membership on the Communications, Policy, Facilities, and Community Advisory committees.

 

As a community member, I've served as a volunteer on the Strategic Planning Task Force, District Wellness Committee, Sustainability Design Team, Equity Committee, and in various PTA roles (Treasurer, President, and Webmaster, among others; I'm proudest of launching the La Entrada School-Wide Service Project).

Professionally, I founded education-related nonprofits My New Red Shoes and Community Equity Collaborative. I also co-own a neighborhood preschool, Toddle. In my free time I'm an avid reader (happiness = a stack of library books), jigsaw puzzler, and dog lover.
